What
have you learnt about irregular periods?

Do
you and your family get enough iron-rich food?
Work
out which you can afford.

| It
is not true that women who have frequent periods will have twins
when they get pregnant. It is common, especially in young girls,
to have irregular periods. However, I do agree that menstruating
so often is a nuisance for you. If it continues to worry you,
you could see your doctor who may give you a hormone preparation
to make your periods regular. He or she will also be able to
check that nothing else is wrong.
In
the meantime, as you are losing quite a lot of blood, eat
plenty of the foods that provide iron to the body. This
will stop you feeling tired and weak. Iron is found in dark
green leafy vegetables, carrots, pumpkin seeds, and red
meat, especially liver.
