I
am a teenage boy and I am very much in love with a girl
at school. We both work hard at our studies and we have
decided that we will get married once we have completed
our 'O' levels. My problem is that her parents have pledged
her to another man (kuzvarira / kubeletha ). She has told
her parents that she does not love him, and wants to marry
me, but they are saying that she has to do what they have
decided. What can we do? If she continues to say no, they
will say she is not their daughter. This man is older and
is paying lobola for her.

Using
lobola to force girls into marrying someone they don't
want - what is your opinion about this?
