WHO already contributes vitally
to health policy and practice - regionally, nationally and internationally.
We now need to take a more decisive and informed role in shaping
civil interactions with the health sector.
While the state clearly remains
the focus in organising health systems, there is a call for it
to interact more effectively with the market and with civil society.
The state is being asked exercise its authority over the use
of economic and social resources for development. |
